Meadfoot Beach

A small stretch of shingle beach nestled below an array of spectacular cliffs provides a perfect setting for those who prefer a quieter environment in which to relax. The impressive crescent shaped Osbourne Hotel overlooks the beach and the spilt level promenade backs onto a tree covered hillside.

Transport: The nearest town is Torquay.  There is main road access and a local bus service.  Bus Nos. x85 and 32. Parking is available on street and also in a small car park above the beach.
Disabled: Easy Access from the road via a slope on to the promenade. There is a slipway to the beach 100 yards away.
Dogs: Banned during the summer season.  There is a dog exercise area at the North end of beach (nearest the pay and display car park).
Safety: Beach Managers , Supervision, Warning flags, Life buoys, First aid, Lost child centre and Patrol Boat.
Facilities: Cafe, Beach Huts, Toilets (open summer only), Disabled visitors’ facilities, Deckchair hire, Slipway, Promenade and Beach Shower.

  • Meadfoot Beach Car Park is over 5 minutes walk away across a road. There is also some on street parking.
